I like your ideas. Even if they don’t seem to involve much handcraft for the children, you are introducing the concept of molds. This might seem blatantly obvious to adults, but it is a concept that must be understood by the children, just as the idea of a template must be explained.

My husband was exactly the same! The thought of attending a spa made him cringe, until I finally got him to attend one. We chose, well, I chose, the Shizen located in Toronto, Canada. I didn't know where to look for spas and came across a site called www.WaySpa.com. There I was able to search my area and found the Shizen spa to suit us the best. We had a great time and now I think he is hooked! If you go out of town again check out the site and you'll be able to find some great spas close to you. Goodluck on your travels!

I am a Jamaican-American living in Ocho Rios. My daughter-in-law, who home schools my twin grandaughters in New York, forwarded me your blog concerning continued education for your children while living in Jmaica.
I would like to submit to you my qualifications and interest in such a position. I have an Certificate of Advanced Studies (pre-doctorate) and a Masters of Science degree in Educational Admistration and Policy Studies from the University of New York at Albany. I am the mother of 3 and grandmother of 6; my eldest grandson is autistic. I have taught at all levels of education including elementary, secondary and tertiary.

California does have stats although maybe not in this study. When do they fall off the child with autism count list, at 18? 21? With a state population of approx. 34 million and lets say that 1/3 are children, thats about 1 in 500. but I don’t know how they keep their stats.

Oh, Phooey. I don’t know how to figure it out.

Some areas report 1 in 75 kids autistic.
