The Moya family is in Jamaica for the Holidays. We’ll be spending our first Christmas in Jamaica and it’s hopefully going to be a great experience for us. This will be our first Christmas outside of Florida ever and we were a little nervous about it at first but we have come to realize that Christmas is what we make of it and much less what we expect out of it.
In years past we have obsessed about buying the perfect gifts for our children and we have spent lots of money and time on things that really seem to mean a lot less to us now. We are feeling the pinch of an economic crisis and our Christmas is not as big as those in years past because we want it to be but also because we cannot afford as much as years past.
The global economy has hit us by slowing down the traffic to most of our websites and we are also faced with more competition for the same visitors with a number of copy cat websites popping up all over. the web is a great place to build a business but keeping up with global competition can be tough when you try to keep things small and personal. Small websites are struggling and we have been forced to use a number of our personal websites to generate some additional revenue but we’re still doing well enough to have had a good year financially. Not a great one but a good one. Lets home it’s good enough to get is through next year which is beginning to look a lot worse.
