I was thinking recenty about school uniforms and I don’t se the sense personally. I understand that kids should focus on their school duties but I don’t think uniforms help much. Kids are kids and stopping them from expressing their individuality is impossible. Even today in schools with uniform policies you can see each kid has their own way of tying shoes, brushing hair and other things to make them unique and the uniform isn’t doing much good.
Most schools with uniform policies say it helps the kids by keeping them all looking the same but I think thats junk. It hurts the kids to have to look a certain way and most schools have their own uniforms anyway so not all the kids are wearing the same thing. Kids are still being taought that what they wear and how they look is more important than what they learn. They just look like cadets in military school dressed in their khaki school outfits.
