Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge

This 221-square mile refuge is the northernmost remaining example of Everglades
habitat. There is a 12-mile bike trail and walking path.
If you enter at the main entrance west of U.S. 441 between Boynton Beach
Blvd. and Delray beach's Atlantic Ave., you can kayak or canoe down a
5.5-mile waterway that has been cut into the grasses of the Everglades.
There is also a 57-mile L-40 canal that follows the circumference of the
park.

Observe manatees from the beach daily during January and February.
I-95 to 45th Street(exit 54), then drive east on 45th Street to N. Flagler
Drive. Turn left on N. Flagler Drive and go 15 blocks north to the entrance
gate.
Florida Keys Wild Bird Center

The wild bird center is a bird hospital, education center and wild bird
refuge on a five-acre site. Injured birds are nursed back to health and
those with permanent injuries find a new home here
Indian Key Historical Site

Indian Key is a small island off Islammorada that has no ameneties and
is only accessible by boat. Makes for a great private get-a-way.
Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary

The Sanctuary covers 100 square miles of protected waters and reefs next
to John Pennekamp Coral Reef Staate Park.
Secret Woods Park

Secret Woods Nature Center is a county park featuring an assembly hall,
an exhibit building and nature trails.
This 56-acre Designated Urban Wilderness Area was Broward County's first
interpretive nature center, opening in September 1978.
